intellectual property, competition and international law matters. Has lectured on intellectual property and competition law matters in the United States, China, Korea, and Japan. In 2002, was an advisor to the Federal Trade Commission regarding its 2003 intellectual property and competition study. Served for four years (2000-2004) on the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) Advisory Leadership Panel and conference speaker regarding intellectual property, complex litigation and ADR topics. In addition, has had extensive experience as an attorney handling class actions, white-collar matters, multi-district (MDL) and other complex litigation. He has represented US, European and Asian clients in numerous international law matters and before the US International Trade Commission (ITC). Matters handled have related to products and services including semi-conductors, consumer electronics, chemicals, medical devices, internet services, food products and food processing, petroleum, fashion wear, wireless technology, machine tools, computers, computer vision and optics, manufacturing processes and equipment, food supplements, automotive technology, financial transaction systems and graphic arts.
ALTERNATE DISPUTE RESOLUTION EXPERIENCE
During the last several years, he has been increasingly focused and serving as an ADR neutral (arbitrator, early neutral evaluator and mediator). Because of his science background and status as a USPTO Registered Patent Lawyer, many of the matters handled have related to technology and intellectual property (patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets). Has also worked on numerous competition law matters (unfair competition, antitrust, unfair trade practices, etc.) He has for a number of years been an active member with the U.S. District Court’s Attorney Settlement Officer ADR Panel of neutrals. Mr. Weinstein is a Member of the American Arbitration Association’s Large Complex Case panel (LCCP), International Panel (ICDR) and the AAA’s Patent Panel. Has lectured and taught on Intellectual Property and ADR and topics at meetings of the American Bar Association, the Los Angles County Bar Association, the Southern California Mediation Association, Northwestern University School of Business, Johns Hopkins University and USC Law School. Has served as an ICC arbitrator and as an AAA sole arbitrator and panel arbitrator on domestic and international disputes and as a California Superior Court ADR Officer.

COMPENSATION
$495 Per Hour
On patent infringement and/or patent licensing related matters, $550 per hour. Eight-hour minimum. No charge if written notice of cancellation is received 20 or more working days before scheduled mediation, hearing or arbitration is scheduled to begin, but all study, preparation and travel time will be charged. If cancellation occurs less than 20 days but 10 or more days before scheduled commencement, 50% will be due for the reserved time. If less than 10 days notice is given, the full fee for the reserved time will be due. There will be a charge for set up, study and deliberation time spent and for travel time to locations requiring and overnight stay in connection with a hearing. In large or especially complex cases, he may ask the parties for permission to engage and charge for legal research and case administration assistance.
